I have been in love with photos, paper and stickers ever since I could remember. When I was a child, I had many "sticker books"-photo albums in which I collected stickers. Mostly "Hello Kitty" and scratch and sniff ones:) I got my first camara at 10 years old. I have always enjoyed capturing memories and preserving them. As an adult, I was searching for a way to organize my millions of pictures so I went to Joann's to look at photo albums. When I turned the corner and gazed down the paper aisle, I stopped breathing! I was drawn to the rainbow of colors. Then when I found the sticker aisle, I almost passed out!! So I started scrapbooking. As my scrapbooking skills have evolved, I have moved away from using a lot of stickers to using more die cuts and patterned paper. Which led me straight to Stampin! Up. At a workshop, I fell in love with the matching punches and stamps. I couldn't believe it...I could make my own die cuts for my scrapbooks! Then I was introduced to the matching inks, paper, ribbons and patterned paper, and it was all over. My Stampin! Up addiction was sprung! I can not match colors myself, so having them already matched was a dream. I am so pleased with my scrapbooks now that I have a few tools to make my own embellishements. I have also evolved my crafty skills into card making. I never used to give a lot of cards due to the cost. But now that I can make my own in a few minutes, I give cards all the time. I have a pretty stressful day job, so escaping to my crafty area and being creative really helps me wind down. Plus my mom and I do projects together, so it is a great bonding activity.
